5 December 2022

In January 2023, TEQSA (Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency) announced that from 30 June 2023, Australian higher education providers (universities and pathway providers) will return to compliance with face-to-face study requirements.

This means that, like before the pandemic, students will be required to attend in-person classes. While in-person classes will be the main type of study mode, we recognise that there have been some excellent innovations in the digital space and we want to ensure we draw on the best of both experiences. Therefore, a proportion of lessons in some subjects may still be delivered online or in hybrid mode (e.g. some lectures).

UNSW degree programs will be returning to in-person learning from Term 2, May 2023

What does this mean for UNSW College students?

All students must plan to arrive in Sydney to study in person before 30 June.

What if students cannot travel to Sydney by 30 June?

All students are expected to arrive on time however we recognise there may be visa delays or other issues.
