There’s a certain magic to putting feelings and thoughts to paper.
It’s been a few months since I started journaling. I watched a video with my favourite idol and saw that they try to find the time to journal because they have so many amazing and fun experiences that they don’t want to forget any of it. I was shocked that my idols would journal, because they would be vey busy. But I thought that if they found meaning in writing down their feelings, then I should try it too.
I used to keep a colourful diary when I was a child, and every day would write one page of what happened that day. This time, I just bought a nice and simple navy cover diary from Officeworks.
It was hard to fill the pages when I started because my timetable is pretty average and my daily routine is the same so I had no idea what to write. But after a while I started writing about my thoughts and feelings. When I put pen to paper, it’s surprising how much I actually thought without realising it.
Now I’ve written in about half of my diary and it makes me happy looking at how much I’ve written. It’s been great practicing my English writing and I’m more confident in thinking in another language. I recommend to all my friends and students to keep a diary because I’ll look back after a few years and I think it’ll be interesting to see my thoughts from when I was a College student.
