Ensuring the safety of our community is paramount, especially in emergencies. Understanding the fire evacuation procedures at both the Kensington and Randwick campuses is essential for your safety and the safety of others. In the event of a fire drill or a real emergency, knowing how to respond quickly and effectively can make all the difference. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the evacuation routes and assembly areas outlined below.

UNSW College L5 Building evacuation procedure

In the event of a fire alarm, all students must proceed immediately to the northeast corner of Kensington Park, located at the intersection of Barker Street and Day Lane. This assembly area is only 300 metres from the L5 Building.

To facilitate a smooth evacuation, please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the evacuation route. Emergency evacuation maps are displayed prominently throughout the building to guide you to the assembly point, regardless of your location.

UNSW College Randwick Campus evacuation procedure

For students located at the Randwick Campus, please refer to the evacuation route pictures below for your specific assembly area. It is crucial that you follow the designated route to ensure the safety of everyone during an emergency.

When the fire alarm rings, please refrain from engaging in activities that may slow down the evacuation process. Review the evacuation plans above for further details about the evacuation procedures.
