UNSW College Student Enquiries Desk oversees the management of Lost and Found Property in L5 Building and Blockhouse.

All found items will be kept at the Student Enquiries Desk located on Level 1 in the L5 Building for one month. After one month, any unclaimed lost property will be transferred to the Security Office, located at Gate 2 on the Main Campus. To retrieve your belongings, please visit the Security Office directly.

If you have lost an item at the Randwick campus, all found items will be kept in the Randwick campus staff room on Level 2 until it has been picked up.

Note: Perishable items, drink bottles, and food containers will be disposed of immediately.

Finding lost property

If you find a lost item, please hand it into the Student Enquiries Desk located on Level 1 in the L5 Building. We will make every effort to contact the owner by phone and email if the owner can be readily identified. If the owner cannot be identified, the item will be held for one month before it is disposed of. Unclaimed items after this period will be disposed of accordingly.

Reporting lost property

You can report lost property by visiting the Student Enquiries Desk on Level 1 in the L5 Building.

However, the simplest way to report lost property is to fill in the online form HERE. Please provide as many details as possible, including a photo of your lost property if available.

Collecting your property

Lost property found in the L5 Building and Blockhouse can be collected from the Student Enquiries Desk, located on Level 1 in the L5 Building, from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, except for public holidays.

Lost property found in the Randwick campus can be collected from the Randwick campus staff room on Level 2 (R203) from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, except for public holidays.

When collecting your item, please provide the following:

  • Proof of identity
  • Description of the item, if necessary, to confirm ownership
