Originally from Hainan, and moved to Suriname, South America, when I was eight years old; thus, I can speak four languages fluently. After discovering my passion for working with people, I decided to move country again to study in Australia to pursue my degree and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Social Inquiry) and a Master in Social Work.

As I have moved countries twice, I can imagine what it is like for most of our UNSW College students. However, I value the opportunities to learn new cultures and languages. What helped me settle and thrive in Australia is the supportive community. I joined the student volunteering program when I was a new student. Through volunteering and networking events, I was amazed at how many opportunities are out there; thus, I would encourage everyone to be part of anything outside of study to experience the Australian culture. Who knows what new skills you will discover and develop?

What I enjoy the most about being a Student Wellbeing Adviser is being part of the learning journey and advocating for students’ needs. Outside of work hours, you will find me at my CrossFit gym.
