Celebrate Japanese National Foundation Day with us at a special Cuppa Connections: Japanese Edition at Blockhouse, hosted in collaboration with the Asian Studies Association 🇯🇵✨🏯.

Cuppa Connections is colleges well known go-to chill spot — a place to grab a drink, enjoy a tasty snack, relax, and connect with other students. This one-off Japanese Edition adds a cultural twist, with interactive activities inspired by Japanese traditions and creativity.

One of the highlights of the session is the beautiful Japanese tradition of Ema — small wooden plaques where people write their wishes and hopes for the year ahead 🎏. Students are invited to write down their academic goals, personal aspirations, or exciting new experiences they’d like to try, and share them with others!

This event celebrates the diverse communities at UNSW College and creates an opportunity for conversation, cultural exchange, and learning — all while having a bit of fun.

Come along, enjoy a cuppa, get creative, and write your wishes for the year ahead! ☕🌸
