What is IDAHOBIT?

IDAHOBIT stands for International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia, and Transphobia. It is observed annually on May 17 and serves as a day to raise awareness about the discrimination and violence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) people worldwide. The day also promotes acceptance, inclusion, and human rights for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. IDAHOBIT events and activities aim to challenge stigma, advocate for equality, and foster understanding and support for the LGBTI community.
