‘Start Making Sense: Middle Eastern Men’ is a face-to-face workshop that provides gay, bi+, or queer Middle Eastern guys a safe space to meet and share their experiences of being Middle Eastern and LGBTQ+.
Over the four weeks, we will be exploring the topics of:
- Being Middle Eastern and LGBTQ+
- Coming out/ coming in
- Navigating family, culture & religion
- Stigma and prejudice in our communities
- Relationships as gay, bi+, or queer Middle Eastern guys
- Keeping safe while having fun
- …and more!
‘Start Making Sense: Middle Eastern Men’ workshops are run by fellow gay, bi+, queer Middle Eastern guys who have a shared experience with you. We will ensure that each session is fun, informative, safe, and meaningful!
The next ‘Start Making Sense: Middle Eastern Men’ workshop will be held on:
- Date: Wednesdays, 7 May – 28 May 2025
- Time: 5:45pm – 8:45pm
- Duration: Four sessions over four weeks
- Location: Parramatta Medicare Mental Health Centre (previously known as Parramatta Head to Health)
- Address: Ground Floor, Suite One/150 George St, Parramatta NSW 2150
- Transport: 7 minute walk from Parramatta Station
- Cost: Free, light catering will be provided
