In this inclusivity workshop, you’ll learn more about the LGBTQIA+ acronym, gender and attraction dynamics, and critical analysis of discrimination, with a focus on bystander intervention and creating safe spaces. What to expect in this workshop:
- LGBTQIA+: Learn about diversity within the LGBTQIA+ community.
- Sex, Gender & Attraction: Explore distinctions between biological sex, gender identity & sexual orientation – understanding pronouns and respectful communication.
- Statistics in Australia: Review key statistics on the prevalence and experiences of gender and sexually diverse people.
- Discrimination & Harmful Language: Examine the impact of discrimination and use of harmful language.
- Bystander Intervention: Discover strategies for intervening as a bystander.
