Evidence shows breathing and body relaxation techniques have a number of positive effects on mental health and wellbeing including:
- Relieves stress and anxiety by lowering stress hormones like cortisol and stimulate the nervous system to slow your heart rate and ease panic.
- Uplifts mood by lowering emotional reactivity, bringing a sense of peace.
- Eases the buildup of tension both emotional and physical.
- Quietens a busy mind for improved focus, memory and attention span.
The back to me session is an audio activity released online on the CSW to stream at any time. You can enjoy listening to this in the comfort of your own home or simply listen to it whilst studying and no one will know!!
