The UNSW College L5 Building and Randwick Campus is conveniently located next to the UNSW Kensington main campus, and is conveniently next to and easily accessible by public transport, driving, cycling, walking and running.

Public transport

Taking public transport to UNSW is a convenient, affordable, and eco-friendly way to get to campus with numerous bus and light rail options available. If you are coming from Central Station or the CBD, you can catch the light rail to campus, with two stops located outside UNSW. The L2 Randwick light rail service stops on High Street, which is opposite Gate 9 entrance. The L3 Kingsford light rail service stops on Anzac Parade, located at the lower campus entrance.

There are also several bus services you can catch to the UNSW campuses from Central Station and the CBD. Please refer to the Transport NSW Trip Planner for routes and timetable information.

Cycling

Riding your bike to campus offers a healthy, free and zero-emission way to commute and stay fit. UNSW supports cyclists with over 1000 bike parking spots, multiple shower facilities, and water stations on campus. The dedicated cycle path from Central Station to Kensington campus offers a safe and clear-cut commute. You can also request access to the Barker Street Bike Store, a secure parking facility with space for 35 bikes per day, featuring a repair station, changeroom and short and long-term lockers.

Walking or running

The ultimate zero-emission travel option, walking or running to campus from a nearby suburb is a great way to stay fit whilst improving brain function, reducing stress and sickness and saving money. You can access all sides of UNSW Sydney upon your arrival, use the shower facilities and hydrate from one of the many water stations on campus.

If driving to campus is your preferred option, we offer electric vehicle charging stations using renewable energy from one of the largest solar facilities in Sydney, and regular parking bays in our Barker Street Car Park. Learn more about parking on campus and the different permits.

If you need to travel between UNSW Sydney campus and UNSW Art & Design campus in Paddington, you can catch the UNSW courtesy bus during term (excluding weekends and public holidays).
