Events Internship Program

The Events Internship Program is the next step for eligible volunteers who are looking to challenge themselves, gain hands-on professional experience and make an even greater impact on student life.

The internship is a paid position, and over three months, you'll work alongside the Student Life Team to help deliver some of the College's biggest events, including Orientation, Graduation and a range of exciting activities throughout the year. But the experience goes beyond just event-day support.

As an Events Intern, you'll work alongside the Student Life Team to experience every stage of the event management process, from planning and preparation through to delivery. You'll also play a key role in facilitating volunteer training workshops and mentoring new volunteers.

One of the highlights is the opportunity to design and deliver your own Intern Showcase Event. From developing the initial concept to planning, budgeting, coordinating and delivering the event, you'll experience what it's like to be an event organiser with the guidance and support of the Student Life Team every step of the way.

This practical experience develops highly transferable skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, project management and problem-solving, giving you valuable experience to showcase on your CV and in future job interviews.

Upon successfully completion of the internship, you'll earn the Certified Events Intern Leadership Recognition Badge. You'll also become eligible to be considered for the prestigious Event Producer role at the annual UNSW College Gala Awards Night.
