Sizzle into the new year (plus an important announcement)

It has been 2 years since this student magazine got published and we hope that you have enjoyed sifting through the pages each month. Perhaps you learnt something new, or saw something submitted by someone you know, or you yourself have contributed to the magazine. In whatever way you have consumed this publication, we are incredibly grateful for your support.

There is also a very important announcement to share with you all: after this edition, In The Know will go on a temporary hiatus to rebrand and come back with stronger and more engaging content. We will be brainstorming and planning the future direction of the magazine, and will see you soon with a new and improved look and feel.

For now though, you can enjoy the last edition of In The Know before the rebrand!

Inside these pages you can find:

  • The events happening in the city to ring in the new year
  • Special guest writer Jerome Van Putten talks about the best part of public parks: the shared BBQs!
  • Why the Australian sun feels particularly strong
  • How the Aussie barbie become a national icon
  • THRIVE Intern Jolin talks you through how the body reacts to hot weather and ways to protect yourself from heatstroke and strong UV
