Lunar New Year is almost here, and we invite you to join us for a campus celebration welcoming the Year of the Fire Horse!

Lunar New Year is celebrated across many cultures and marks a time of the community coming together, and welcome fresh beginnings. This year is associated with the Horse, a symbol of energy, independence, and forward momentum. Combined with the Fire element, the Fire Horse represents passion, creativity, confidence, and bold new starts: a perfect match for student life and the year ahead.

Date: Tuesday 17 February
Time: 4pm – 6pm
Location: Courtyard, Level 1, UNSW College L5 Building

One of the highlights of the celebration will be our ever-popular mini night market, featuring a range of hot food and drinks from our food stalls. Students will be able to collect free food vouchers to use at the stalls, so remember to bring your student ID with you to claim them!

Enjoy a soulful and expressive erhu performance, take part in a range of Lunar New Year-themed games and activities (including a ring toss with prizes) and, of course, the spectacular lion dance, performed to usher in good fortune and ward off negative spirits.

We look forward to seeing you there!
